1. Tell us a little bit about your chapter and what is the Temple chapter looking forward to for the new year?
The CfH chapter at Temple is small but a close-knit group. Each week that we bake is another learning experience. This year we are looking forward to increasing our membership and donation goals as well as furthering hunger awareness on campus.
2. How do you plan to spread awareness/knowledge of CfH for incoming Freshmen and Transfer students?
Finding a strong team of transfer students and freshmen is going to be extremely important for Temple’s chapter this year. With some of the core members of the group graduating in the spring, we want dedicated owls to take over and expand the chapter for the coming years. We are going to focus on Hillel events to meet students as well as finding representatives in the dorms.
3. What flavor are you most excited to bake this semester?
Our typical challah orders consist of four different recipes – plain, cinnamon-sugar, cinnamon-sugar chocolate chip and regular chocolate chip. Our chocolate chip is a huge hit and a fan favorite but we are excited to experiment with new recipes such as vegan challah, whole wheat and maybe even peanut-butter and jelly challah!
